Leadership Orange Announces New Board Directors


New Windsor, NY-– At its annual meeting, the Board of Directors of Leadership Orange added five (5) new members to its Board of Directors.  New Directors include:

Sarita Bhandarkar, Esq., Catania, Mahon, Milligram & Rider, PLLC
Sarita Bhandarkar is an attorney at Catania, Mahon, Milligram & Rider, PLLC, a general practice law firm with offices in Newburgh and Fishkill.  She practices primarily in the area of trusts and estates, taxation, elder law, and special needs estate planning.  She received her B.A. from Tufts University; her J.D. from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law; and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York Law School.  She presently serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Orange, The Arc of Orange County, and the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council; and she is the co-chair of the Professional Advisors Council of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties.  She is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Orange.  Prior to beginning her legal career, she worked as a high school English teacher.  She enjoys running, traveling, volunteering with Girls on the Run Hudson Valley, and spending time with friends and family.

Joseph Mandara, Section Manager for Orange & Rockland Utilities
Joe Mandara is a Section Manager for Orange & Rockland Utilities, a ConEdison, Inc. company N.Y. and a graduate of the 2014 Leadership Orange class.  Joe is responsible for Gas Construction activities in Rockland, Orange and Pike county PA.  Joe attended Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY where he earned his Bachelors in Organizational Management and his Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership.  Along with his new board position with Leadership Orange, he serves on the board of directors at First Assembly of God Church in Port Jervis NY, and he is a Royal Rangers Outpost Leader as well as the Hudson Valley Royal Rangers Sectional Commander.  Joe is an active member of the Hudson Valley Damage Prevention Council where he promotes safe digging.  Joe previously served as a Director on the Board of Dig Safely New York where he also served on the promotion and education committee.  He also served on the Board of the Wallkill Farms homeowners Association, where he served as a board member and past President.  Joe lives in Middletown with his wife, Mary.  Joe and Mary raised five children and now have two grandchildren with two more on the way.

Ralph “RJ” Martucci, CPA, Senior Accountant with Judelson, Giordano & Siegel, CPA, PC
Ralph (R.J.) Martucci, CPA is a manager with Judelson, Giordano & Siegel, CPA, PC in Middletown, NY and graduate of the 2014 Leadership Orange class.  RJ works with clients in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, performs audits, prepares tax returns, and develops long term financial plans and forecasts.  He attended Susquehanna University where he received his Bachelors in Accounting.  Along with his new Board position with Leadership Orange, he serves on the Board and other committees at Inspire in Goshen, NY and as a member of the 4-H program advisory committee for the Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County.  RJ also previously served as a co-chairman for the Orange County Chamber Young Professionals, Treasurer and Board Member of the Newburgh Historical Society, member of the New York State Society of CPAs and Young CPA committee for the Mid-Hudson chapter.  RJ lives in Middletown with his wife, Kera and their two girls, Sofia and Eliana.

Matthew Milnamow, AIA, LEED® AP BD+C, Associate for LAN Associates
Matthew Milnamow is a licensed architect in NY, NJ & VT, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED® AP BD+C).   He earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Architecture Degrees from Norwich University.  Matthew is a 2012 graduate of the Leadership Orange program and was honored by the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Orange and the Junior League of Orange County with an Orange County, Rising Stars award.   For over 11 years, he has worked for LAN Associates, a 50 year old, full-service Architecture & Engineering firm located in Goshen, New York.   In 2011, Matthew was promoted to an Associate position in the company.   Presently,   he is a Board member for the Orange County Citizens Foundation and the Goshen Chamber of Commerce.  He has also served on the John S. Burke Catholic High School Foundation Board to assist his high school alma mater with fundraising.  Matthew lives in Goshen with his wife – Christina, and they have two young children – Shea & Kellen. 

Maureen Torelli, Maureen Torelli, LMSW, CASP, LNHA, Vice President and Executive Director of Glen Arden
Maureen (Coughlin) Torelli is an Orange County native, born and raised in Florida, N.Y.  Maureen received a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an MSW from Boston University.  Maureen is the Vice President and Executive Director of Glen Arden, Elant’s Continuing Care Retirement Community.  An active member of the community, Maureen currently serves on the Boards of Braeside Camp, Leading Age NY, Inspire and Leadership Orange.  She has been a member of the Goshen Rotary Club since September 2003 and served as past President. Additionally, Maureen previously served on the Alzheimer’s Association board and is still actively involved with the Orange County Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Maureen is a graduate of the Leadership Orange Class of 2004. Her honors include:  the Thomas Clarke Memorial Award from Leading Age NY, Orange County Rising Stars, the Orange County Woman of Achievement in Health Care, the Linda and Stephan Saland Award for Community Leadership from the Alzheimer’s Association and induction into the Leadership Orange Hall of Fame in 2014. Maureen and her husband Mike reside in Goshen.

Leadership Orange is the county’s premier leadership training program. Started in 1992 by community and business leaders to train new and emerging leaders, it has developed over the past 23 years into a multi-dimensional training program for both adults and youth.
